W-H Farm Bureau Manager Gina Sanberg Reminds Motorists to Slow Down This Harvest Season

Share

The 2022 harvest season is right around the corner and large machinery will be out on the roadways. Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau Manager Gina Sanberg reminds motorists to take those extra precautions and practice safe driving:

“For both farmers and for everyone on the roadways, take some safe practices. There is going to be large equipment out on the roads. I know it could cost you an extra five minutes, but if you can try to plan to leave early on your way to work, on your way to school. This of course is going to be a very busy time with all of that equipment. I know smaller vehicles just remember you can maneuver and stop and go a lot faster than that big equipment. It is very important to remember that large equipment cannot see you as well as you can see that large equipment.”

Drive safe and slow down this harvest season. Watch out for machinery especially on curves, country roadways, and when going over hills.
