The IHSA spring sports season gets underway today (Monday) with the first official day of high school baseball and softball practice. A 65-game winning streak will draw plenty of attention early in the season. The Rockridge High School softball team has had back-to-back undefeated state championship seasons. The current record is 69 consecutive wins set by Casey-Westfield in 1998. John Nelson is head softball coach at Rockridge.
