Share

Illinois lawmakers are pushing for a reform to juvenile sentencing.  The Senate approved a measure last week that would amend the Juvenile Court Act of 1987.  The bill would require judges to consider a different set of circumstances when determining criminal sentences for juveniles, such as home environment and childhood trauma.  The legislation has been sent to Governor Pritzker’s desk.
