Peggy J. Trout, 68, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 10:52 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg, IL. 

She was born on December 6, 1950 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Louis G. and Mayvonnie (Adwell) Chapman.  Peggy was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1969. 

Peggy married William E. “Bill” Trout on July 26, 1970 in Monmouth, IL; he survives. 

Peggy was a homemaker; she did work for a time at Monmouth Hospital and had other odd jobs as a bartender and assisting her brother with his business. She enjoyed watching TV, Facebook, and keeping track of her grandchildren. 

Surviving Peggy is her husband, Bill Trout of Galesburg, IL; two children, Bobbi Jo Trout of Alaska, Brian (Deanna) Trout of Alexis, IL; four grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Wolfe, Amy Marie Beringer, Chalie Ann Krautkramer, Cheyenne Mae Trout, Toby Nathaniel Trout; three great grandchildren, Charlie Wolfe, Julia Wolfe, Autumn Beringer; two step great grandchildren, Audrey Wolfe, and Jaden Wolfe.  Also surviving is one sister, Patricia Chapman of Monmouth, IL; two brothers, Dell Thomas Chapman of Texas, Donald Chapman of LaClaire, IA; several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.     

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be prior to the service from Noon-2:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the service.  Memorials can be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
