Tonight, the annual Prime Beef Festival kicks off this evening with the Prime Beef Festival Run and Parade at 5:00 pm, and the opening of the Prime Beef Festival Fairground’s armband night.
Entry numbers in both the parade and number of volunteers have gone up since previous festivals, and Prime Beef Festival Committee President Dave Underwood and Vice President Matt Lovdahl could not be more grateful.
Vice President Lovdahl extends his and the committee’s thank-yous to everyone involved in the festival this year, from sponsors to volunteers…
“And then I’d like to thank all the volunteers, whether they’ve been out there for their first year this year, or they’ve been out there for thirty years, we can’t do it without them. Special thanks to Sam Mackie, he puts a lot of this together, a lot of time involved in it, and I think he kinda holds us all together.”
This year’s Prime Beef Festival is the 70th Anniversary of Warren County being declared the ‘Prime Beef Capitol of the World’, and the theme of the event is ‘Farmin’ Like it’s 1949′.
