Clay E Redding, 45, of Macomb, IL passed away at 2:07 am, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Heartland Healthcare Center of Galesburg.

Clay was born August 13, 1974 in Marysville, CA, the son of James and Marcy (Braden) Redding.  He was raised and educated in Bushnell, IL, graduating from Bushnell-Prairie City High school in 1993.

Clay went on to serve 5 years with the United States Army.

Clay married Tabrina Morrell in Walnut Grove, IL on July 4, 1998.

For a time, Clay was an insurance salesman in St. Louis, MO and later a mover based in Galesburg.

He was a member of the Maple Avenue Christian Church in Macomb.  He was a very active athlete in high school where he ran track and played football.  He loved to go fishing and boating.

Survivors include his son, Jaden Redding and daughter, Paige Redding both of Macomb, IL, his brother, Chad Redding of Abingdon and sister, Brandy (John) Oakman of Prairie City, IL; along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

A graveside interment service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Good Hope Cemetery, Good Hope, IL. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Clay E.
