On Wednesday, October 30th, the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development will be hosting a Manufacturing and Trades Showcase at Galesburg High School from 9:30 am to noon. Director of Communications Taylor Rooney provides an overview of what the students will get to encounter:

“We have done this in the past, but just with manufacturing. We are really excited to incorporate the trades into this showcase. This is an opportunity for students to really interact with our local businesses, as well as, experience different aspects of the manufacturing and trades industry with some hands on activities,” shares Rooney.

Carl Sandburg College will also be hosting an evening session on Wednesday the 30th from 4pm to 6:30 to allow the students to bring their families.

The final installment of Our Economy Update for 2019, presented by the Knox County Area Partnership for Economic Development, will be held on Friday, November 15th from 7:30am to 9am at Cherry Street Bar and Grill. Rooney offers the topic for the event:

“It will still be the same as all the other ones. First, we will present that local economic data and interpret that. As well, we will have a panel discussion on the topic of agriculture for this quarter,” Rooney states.
