All three of the Quad Cities’ area baseball teams are promising to fight to stay in the minor leagues. The Quad Cities River Bandits, the Clinton LumberKings, and the Burlington Bees are all included on a list of teams that may be dropped from the minor league system. Major League Baseball is considering a plan to shrink the minor leagues to save money. Quad Cities River Bandits owner Dave Heller says he will do whatever it takes to keep playing baseball in the Quad Cities.
