Monmouth College Women Dominant, Move to 4-0

MONMOUTH, IL – Monmouth’s offense and defense clicked in a 79-54 road win Tuesday night at Blackburn, holding the Beavers to their lowest output of the season to move to 4-0.

The Scots raced out to a 24-6 first quarter on 7-of-16 shooting before heating up with an 11-of-19 performance in the second period. Monmouth cleared the bench in the second half and maintained a comfortable margin over the final 20 minutes. Monmouth held the Beavers to just 31 percent shooting and won the rebounding edge 48-35.

Led by Carley Turnbull’s 15 points and Kaitlyn Osmulski’s 13, nine Scots got in the scoring column.

Monmouth begins their home season next Tuesday hosting Augustana in a 7 p.m. match up.
