Judy K. Wagy, 68, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 2:50 a.m., Sunday, December 15, 2019 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, IL. 

She was born on March 20, 1951 in Monmouth, IL the daughter Robert Dale and Catherine Lucille (Brown) Merwin.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1969.  She earned her Licensed Practical Nurse degree from Bloomington School of Practical Nursing and later her Registered Nurse degree from Carl Sandburg College.

Judy first worked as an LPN at Community Memorial Hospital in Monmouth then as a Pediatric Nurse for Dr. Park in Monmouth.  She returned to Community Memorial Hospital as a RN on C-wing before most recently working at OSF Holy Family Medical Center as a nurse in the Cardiac Rehab Unit.

She always enjoyed taking care of her patients and her family.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Brian (Bridget) Carr of Round Lake Beach, IL, Chris Carr of Monmouth and Kyle Wagy of Monmouth; her grandchildren, Jackson Wagy, Maddux Carr and Hayden Carr; one sister, Donna Haught of Atlanta, GA and one brother, Willard “Butch” Merwin of Monmouth; several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the OSF Holy Family Cardiac Rehab.  For more information please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
