New Windsor, IL –Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) officials announce the arrest of James A. Pierson, (M/59) of New Windsor, IL, for three counts of Disseminating Child Pornography (Class X Felonies).
On Jan. 10, 2020, ISP DCI Investigators initiated an investigation after receiving information Pierson was allegedly engaged in possessing, disseminating, and manufacturing child pornography. A thorough investigation ensued, and through the investigation, DCI Investigators gathered digital evidence supporting the arrest. Pierson was arrested on Feb. 12, 2020, and was charged with three counts of Disseminating Child Pornography (Class X Felonies). Pierson is currently lodged in the Mercer County Jail; his bond has been set at $500,000 (10% applies).
The investigation was conducted along with local, state, and federal law enforcement partnerships to include the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Kewanee Police Department, New Windsor Police Department, Illinois Attorney General’s Office – Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC), and federal authorities.
