McDonough County Up to 11 COVID-19 Deaths

Over the weekend, the McDonough County Health Department announced the deaths of two additional McDonough County residents who tested positive for COVID-19 in May. The new deaths include two women – one in her 50s and one in her 80s. On Sunday, the Health Department announced one additional McDonough County resident, is a female in her 50s, has tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of positive cases to 89. Public health officials are working to identify and actively monitor individuals who were in contact with the resident in an effort to reduce the risk of additional transmission. There has been eleven COVID-19 deaths in the county, while forty-two of the confirmed cases have recovered.
