Steven M. Eiker, 76, of Galesburg, died at home Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
Steve was born October 22, 1943 in Galesburg, the son of Harley and Blanche V. (Huffman) Eiker. Steve graduated from GHS in 1961 and WIU in 1968. He then enlisted in the US Army and was deployed to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on December 3, 1969.
Steve married Donna A. Fischer on December 19, 1971 in Glasford. He taught school at Williamsfield High School from 1970 to 1976. He then worked as a stockbroker for many years prior to retiring in 2005. Steve enjoyed reading in his free time and following politics.
Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna of Galesburg; one daughter, Allison (Mark) Bobofchak of Hinckley, OH and their two daughters, Emma and Claire Bobofchak. Steve is also survived by one sister, Pat (John) Sargeant of Galesburg; a sister-in-law, Josephine Eiker of Henderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents Steven was preceded in death by one brother, James Eiker; and one sister, Betty Ward.
