W. Charles “Chuck” Greenstreet, age 78, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed
away at 10:45 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at his residence. He
was born April 28, 1942 in Avon, Illinois, the son of Charles Willard
and Harriett (Nelson) Greenstreet. Chuck attended several local country
schools and was a graduate of Warren High School. For a time, he
attended classes at Western Illinois University. On December 30, 1994,
he married Connie M. Eddingfield in Oquawka on the front deck of their
riverside home. Chuck was previously married to Janet Reynolds. For most
of his career, he was a heavy equipment operator, working on his own,
for the State of Illinois, and lastly as a Union Operator for Local
#150. He also worked at Munson Transportation in Monmouth and his own
farm. Chuck enjoyed hunting, gardening, antique tractors, boating,
camping and snowmobiling. He was known to spot a “David Bradley”
anywhere one might be sitting.
Chuck is survived by his wife Connie Greenstreet, one daughter, Michelle
Greenstreet of Monmouth, Illinois, two sons, Joe (Linda) Greenstreet of
Monmouth, Illinois, and Mark Greenstreet (Traci) of Monmouth, Illinois,
two step-sons, Paul (Rhonda) Olson of Oquawka, Illinois and Mick Olson
of Oquawka, Illinois, his grandchildren, Taylor (Jason) Huston; LaDana
(Justin) Wundelick, Paul Olson, Jr, Bradley Oson, Tori Olson, Brandon
Olson, and step-grandchild Joe Ragar. He is also survived by two
great-grandchildren, Gabriel Huston and Lane Wundelick. Chuck is
preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister, and his
step-grandson, Brian Ragar.
As were Chuck’s wishes, cremation is being accorded. There are no
services planned at this time. Memorial may be left to Warren
Achievement Center in Monmouth, Illinois in Chuck’s name. For more
