Mrs. Evelina Rose Cline, 82, of Galesburg, Illinois died 5:52 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 at Marigold Health Care Center, Galesburg.

She was born March 21, 1938 at home at the Trenton Corners in Knox County to Roy Otis and Mary Louise (Fentem) Cochran.  She married Larry Doubet in May of 1955.  She later married C. Leon Cline, February 23, 1980 in Galesburg.  He survives. 

Also surviving are three sons, Lewis Doubet of Hanna City, Illinois, Joseph (and Jackie) Doubet of Arbela, Missouri, and Brian (and Toni) Doubet of Galesburg, two step daughters, Sylvia (and Mike) Lee of Monmouth, Illinois and Diana Spinner of Petersburg, Illinois, a daughter-in-law, Pam Doubet of Memphis, Missouri, a brother, Allan (and Gloria) Cochran of Georgia, two sisters, Marilyn (and Doyle) Riney of Abingdon and Louise (and Mike) Paxton of Georgia, 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Doubet, a step daughter and her husband Kathy (and Steve) Murfin, a son-in-law, John Spinner, three brothers, LaVerne Ford, Lewis Ford, and Alvin Cochran, and a sister, Sandra Cochran. 

Evelina graduated from Elmwood High School in 1955.  She attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg.  She was a bookkeeper for Carl Swanson Insurance and later Louis Lakis Ford in Galesburg for several years and retired in 2000.  She attended First Nazarene Church in Galesburg.  Evelina enjoyed traveling, sewing and baking.  She also enjoyed her flower garden and volunteering at her church.  She loved to bowl and was in several leagues in Galesburg. 

Private graveside service will be Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Knoxville Cemetery, Knoxville, Illinois.  Rev. Harold Berrian will officiate.  Those wishing to attend the funeral “virtually” may watch the live broadcast at 1:50 p.m. on the funeral home’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Hinchliff-Pearson-West-Funeral-Directors-and-Cremation-Services-160333664037824.  There will be no visitation.  Memorials may be made to First Nazarene Church.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
