The Monmouth College campus is once again open for the community to utilize the track or just walking around campus, informs Associate VP of Communications and Marketing Duane Bonifer:
“You can come back on campus now. It is a good time to come back. I know a lot of folks like to use the tennis courts; they like to walk through campus. A lot of folks have certain routes they use to get their steps in and a few people get on the track and run, but now that COVID is somewhat under control, we still we want people to socially distance, still want people to be responsible, but we want folks to feel comfortable about coming on campus and coming to events we have. It’s an opportunity for them to reconnect back with the college this summer because it sort of seemed like during this pandemic, we’ve had this college right in the center of town and a lot of folks in the community haven’t been able to come on campus and enjoy.”
Meanwhile, free COVID-19 Saliva Testing is still being offered on campus to residents in Henderson and Warren counties. Testing is on the ground floor of the Haldeman-Thiessen Science Building on Mondays and Thursdays from 9 am to 11 am. For more information on scheduling a test, visit monmouthcollege.edu.
