Richard “Rich” A. Conner, age 54, of Galesburg, Illinois died at 7:34 P.M. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, Illinois.

He was born on February 8, 1967 in Kewanee, Illinois the son of Gary W. and Sharon (Workheiser) Conner, Sr., He married Laura Lea Lasley on July 7, 1992 in Galesburg, Illinois.

Surviving is his wife, Laura L. Conner of Galesburg, Illinois; one son: Richard (Corinne) Conner, Jr. of Wataga, Illinois and one step-daughter: Ashley (Andrew) Le of Princeville, Illinois; five grandchildren: Natalia, Sophia and Carson Conner and one on the way Blakeleigh, and Tesla and Gwynevere Le; one sister, Susan (Dave) Williams of Dahinda, Illinois and Gary (Becky) Conner, Jr of Knoxville, Illinois; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Rich started working at the Flavor Freeze in Galesburg, Illinois at the age of 15, then became the owner and operator. He enjoyed playing pool when he was younger, and always an avid CUBS fan. He loved his grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory in Knoxville, Illinois. Due to the new COVID-19 Mask Mandate, the funeral home will maintain compliance and ask that guests wear a mask.   Memorials may be made to the family.  On-line condolences and/or expressions of sympathy may be sent through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com
