On Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Letitia C. Cecil peacefully passed away at the age of 77. Letitia “Tish” was born in Hannibal, MO, the only daughter of Wesley and Florence Blohm. They moved to the Galesburg and Knoxville area where she attended school. Tish graduated from Knoxville High School in 1963. Tish married Joseph Cecil January 7, 1980 in Galesburg.

Tish attended beauty school in Galesburg and was a licensed beautician and practiced in her home. Tish was a talented artist and quilter. She and her mother, Florence owned Paint & Spray Plaster Craft Store in Galesburg. Tish also belonged to the Piecemaker Quilt Guild and the Kimberell Embroidery Group at the Galesburg Sewing Center.

Surviving is her daughter, Lana Mason of Abingdon; grandchildren, Keith (Gracie) Gyory of Colorado, Kraig (Kelsie) Gyory of Galesburg, Andrew Mason and Keira Mason of Abingdon and her very special cousin Barb Wilson and other cousins in Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Joseph.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville have been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials may be made to OSF Home & Hospice, 3405 North Seminary Street, Galesburg, Illinois 61401.
