The West Central high school 8-man football team is one step away from the I8FA championship game. After defeating Milledgeville this past weekend 38-14, the Heat travel to Polo high school for a battle with the defending champion Polo Marcos. Polo knocked West Central out of last year’s I8FA playoffs in the semifinals.
Head Coach Jason Kirby set the stage for the upcoming matchup, and previewed what to expect from this years Polo squad, on the WRAM morning show.
If the Heat take a home a win this weekend they will reach the I8FA championship game taking place at April Zorn Memorial Stadium on the Monmouth College campus. Broadcast for Saturday’s West Central vs Polo game will start with the 12:40 pregame show on Sunny 97.7 WMOI.
