Boley and Toberman Named Midwest Conference Track and Field Performers of the Week

For the second time this season, Monmouth College track and field has won the women’s Field Performer of the Week award from the Midwest Conference. This week the honor goes to sophomore Maddie Boley (Beecher, Illinois) who posted a career-high in the shot put on Saturday. 

At Saturday’s Roger Haynes Invitational Boley unleashed a shot put throw of 12.93m for a personal best performance. Her shot put throw from this weekend leads the MWC on the season and ranks 38th in the nation.

Boley also finished fourth in the weight throw at 14.77m with teammates Addi Cox (Morton, Illinois) and Amanda Dybal (Apex, North Carolina) tying for the win. Boley ranks top five in the MWC in both shot put and weight throw.

For the second week in a row, Monmouth College track and field junior Caleb Toberman (Clifton, Illinois) has been named the Midwest Conference Field Performer of the Week. 

Toberman had another big week for for the Fighting Scots, winning both the weight throw and shot put at the Roger Haynes Invitational. He set a new career-high in the shot put at 15.30m which is the best throw in the MWC this season by nearly 1.5m. The performance also moves Toberman to 38th in the nation in the shot put.

Toberman also won the weight throw at 17.59m taking the title by more than 3m. He ranks 14th in the nation in the weight throw and has the best throw in the MWC this season at 18.40m last weekend. 

The Scots head to Illinois College this week for a 5 p.m. meet on Friday, the final meet of the indoor regular season.
