Among Constant Changes in the HealthCare Sector Organizations Focus on Health and Wellness with Patients

As healthcare organizations are constantly going through changes with technology advancements, changing in disease patterns, aging population, and new discoveries in treatment plans, being able to focus on health and wellness is vital, shares Family Nurse Practitioner with Solvera Health Kari Endres:

“One of the more exciting, positive things is really the focus on health and wellness and bringing mental health issues to the forefront, talking about things like this more and people feeling more open to take care of themselves. The comprehensive piece of it is really what we focus on when somebody comes in for a wellness visit, it does not matter the age, we really narrow in on what is pertinent for that person. Whether it is recommend screenings through mammograms or colonoscopy, getting vaccines up to date, we just look at that person as a whole and figure out where they are at in their healthcare needs and try to recommend what is current.”

Additionally, with flu season right around the corner, here are some healthy habits to remember: drink plenty of fluids, stay home when you are sick, cover your nose and mouth to reduce the spread of germs, wash your hands often, wipe down surfaces, and schedule your flu vaccination.
