Prairie Players Civic Theatre Presents ‘A Murder Is Announced’

It’s time to buy your tickets and put on your sleuthing caps as Prairie Players Civic Theatre presents A Murder Is Announced directed by Zach Hunter on September 30, October 6 & 7 at 7:30 P.M. and October 1 & 8 at 2:00 P.M. at their theater at 160 S. Seminary Street in Galesburg, Illinois. Ticket prices are 16.00 for adults and 9.00 for students.

Based on a 1950 short story by Agatha Christie and adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon, the play centers around a mysterious murder announcement placed in the local newspaper. A murder is supposed to occur at Little Paddocks, the home of Miss Letitia Blacklock (Chris Curtis), who feels it is all just a joke, but when a murder actually occurs, the joke becomes a reality. Inspector Craddock (Gary Mustain) is called in to investigate the case and with the assistance of amateur detective, Miss Marple (Vera Fornander), they rush to find the culprit before another murder can take place. Also in the cast are: Samantha Rose-Brody, Wynne Clark, Benjamin Wroczynski, Emily Martines, Courtney Howard, Sonrisa Nolan, Collin Sevigny, Nicholas Robinson and Jason LeFebvre.
