City of Monmouth Police Have Responded to Over 11,500 Calls in 2023

Monmouth City Police conducted 39 arrests during the month of September, reports Police Chief Joe Switzer:

“For the month of September, we made 39 arrests, we wrote 74 citations, the police department itself handled 1,180 calls, and the dispatch center handled 2,507 calls. We handled 21 accidents and the officers worked 43 grant hours. In comparison with the year to date, the police department has handled 11,500 calls as of September and the dispatch center has taken in 22,094 calls. Those are big call volumes that our dispatch center and the department handles.”

Chief Switzer informs the arrests made range from warrants for arrest, crimes against persons, crimes against property, theft, and others.
