Three Arrested in Knox County Following Narcotic Sales, Firearm Trafficking, and Violent Crimes Investigation

On Thursday October 26th, The Knox County Sheriff’s Office continued investigations into narcotic sales, gun trafficking, and violent crimes in Galesburg and the Knox County area, leading to the apprehension of additional suspects.

Investigations led Deputies to 813 N Ellison St, where wanted fugitive Ryan Swank was located and taken into custody. Swank has fled from multiple law enforcement agencies in the area.

Ryan Swank (W/M 34 y/o), was transported the Knox County Jail and booked on the following charges:

-Knox County Original Warrant for Violation of Bond Conditions

-Knox County FTA Warrant

-Knox County FTA Warrant for Aggravated Domestic Battery & Aggravated Battery/Use Deadly Weapon

-Possession of Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine

Incident to Swank’s arrest, two additional suspects were located in the residence and taken into custody.

James Benson (W/M 61 y/o), charged with:

-McDonough County FTA Warrant

Anthony Benson (W/M 40 y/o), charged with:

-Possession of Controlled Substance/Methamphetamine

The following agencies assisted in the investigations: U.S Marshalls Fugitive Task Force, F.B.I Task Force, the Knox County States Attorney’s Office, and Abingdon Police Department.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
