Strom Center and Security Savings Bank will once again be collecting and distributing gifts to local senior citizens (60 and over) and disabled adults in Warren and Henderson counties who are low income and/or do not have family around at Christmas time.
What a joy it is to see a face light up when they answer their door to see someone on the other side holding a gift just for him/her!
Do you know someone who is alone during the holiday? Please stop by either the Monmouth or Oquawka officers to receive an application or call Strom Center (309-734-5677) to have an application mailed to you today.
We will need to know his/her approximate age, clothing size if desired, hobbies, and other fun things that your special person would enjoy, as well as specific dietary needs.
If you would like to donate toward the program, by taking a tag from the tree, monetarily, or of course gift cards are always welcome.
Application deadline is Friday, November 10th. Applications will not be accepted after that date.

Tags will be hung on a Christmas tree in the lobby at Security Savings Bank in Monmouth beginning Friday, November 24th where members of the surrounding communities can pick from. Those who pick a tag will need to take it to the customer service desk at Security Savings where the tag will be logged and more information will be given.
All applications are confidential. No information is put on the tag that would identify the applicant. The person is identified by a code number only. Strom staff are the only persons who know to whom the code refers.
It is not only a Blessing to the recipient but a Blessing to ALL who participate in this program.
