As technology continues to evolve, so does MTC Communications, expanding their fiber network to serve more homes, businesses, and communities, according to Director of Marketing Rachel Kerns:
“MTC really spans from the Monmouth area, now building in Nauvoo, going as far north as Oquawka, heading as far south as southern Hancock County, and our Adair, Bardolph, and Industry areas in southern McDonough County as well. Our lines themselves have almost doubled in size. Our customers have more than doubled in size in the last seven years. Lots and lots of growth. We are really trying to find the areas that desperately need reliable internet service and finding grant funding to help us build those areas as well.”
The McDonough Telephone Cooperative, the parent company of MTC Communications, is celebrating 75 years of providing services to the local communities.
