The Monmouth-Roseville softball team has not been able to get many games in so far this season due to rainy and cold conditions, however they were able to get in a home contest on Wednesday against the United Red Storm. M-R would trail early and their late comeback fell short as the Titans end up on the losing end of a 5-3 decision at a chilly Monmouth Park. The loss for Monmouth-Roseville drops their overall record to 1-2 in just 3 contests since March 13th. Monmouth-Roseville will pick up a busy slate of games on the upcoming schedule, however, as the Titans gear up to play a game almost every day of the week next week. The schedule starts after Easter break with a road doubleheader against Riverdale on Tuesday, then extends in to Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with games against Ridgewood, ROWVA/Williamsfield, Southeastern, and Princeton.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday, Titans softball coach Jarrod Hippen says the busy stretch of consecutive games for his ballclub may be just what the team needs to get into rhythm after a slow start to the season.

Monmouth-Roseville’s games against Ridgewood on Wednesday, ROWVA/Williamsfield on Thursday, and Princeton on Saturday will be at home at Monmouth Park. For the full interview with Coach Hippen visit the Sports Podcast section.
