United Red Storm Softball Gets First Win Under Their Belt

The United Red Storm softball team officially got into the win column over this past weekend with a victory over Lewistown on Saturday at the Lewistown Tournament. Their other game came as a loss to Pleasant Plains in the last game of the tournament. United nearly got their first win back on Thursday the 21st, but took a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to the Farmington Lady Farmers. Overall, the Red Storm now hold a record of 1-5 on the season.

Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show this morning, United softball head coach Mark McMahon says the coaching staff is seeing the improvements that all the players are making in the early portion of the season.

United softball was scheduled to pick up a home game tonight against Peoria Christian, however, that game has been postponed due to rain. The Red Storm are now next in action tomorrow on the road against Monmouth-Roseville.
