Western Illinois University has been recognized by Forbes Advisor as one of the top online programs in Human Resource Management. Western is ranked two on the top 10 highest-ranked list for colleges and universities across the country.

WIU was selected based on strict criteria from the National Center for Education Statistics and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. An advisory board made up of experts across experienced professions and educators selected to ensure accuracy.

WIU’s Human Resource Management program is housed within the School of Management and Marketing, with a Bachelor of Business in Human Resource Management offering a curriculum that aligns with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an option to complete a Bachelor and Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management through an integrated five-year program.

The program offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience with local organizations and agencies, consider study abroad opportunities, attend career fairs, and participate in internships. With a curriculum that includes general and business courses, HRM core courses, and electives, students develop the professional skills needed to further their careers.

The program is accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International, ensuring quality educational experiences for all students.

In addition to the full program offered online, WIU offers enrollment in-person on both the Macomb and Moline campuses.
