The Biden administration is announcing nearly 200-million dollars in funding to stop the spread of bird flu.  As part of the plan, each affected farm would get up to 28-thousand dollars to protect workers and cover the costs of testing and treating sick cows.  Some of the money will also go towards contact tracing and genetic testing of the virus.  As of Friday, 42 herds in nine states have been affected by the bird flu outbreak.  And just one person, a dairy worker in Texas, was infected with a mild case of the virus.
