Monmouth-Roseville Titan football team is coming off three straight playoff appearances and, minus the covid-shortened season of 2020, the Titans have qualified for the postseason in four of the past five full seasons. The program is just six years removed from a quarterfinal run in 2018. Monmouth-Roseville finished (6-5) in 2023, pulling off an upset on the road at North Boone in the first round of the playoffs. The Titan’s season ended with a loss at home to a strong Princeton squad in round two. Princeton would fall in the following round against long-time private-school power Lombard Montini in the quarterfinals.

Monmouth-Roseville’s summer schedule included a 3-team joint practice between 2023 1A quarterfinalist ROWVA/Williamsfield and Farmington at Knox College in late July. Farmington finished (9-2) in 2023, falling to another private-school power Bloomington Central Catholic. Titan head coach Jeremy Adolphson recapped his summer schedule on the WRAM Morning Show on Wednesday and says he was happy with his team’s performance at the practice.

Monmouth-Roseville opens up their 2024 season at home at Coach Dobry Field in Monmouth against a new conference opponent, but a very familiar one from past conference affiliations, the Mercer County Golden Eagles, on Friday, August 30th. This will be Mercer County’s first year in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference after several years of participating in the Lincoln Trail Conference. Morrison and Bureau Valley have left the TRAC for the NUIC and LTC, respectively. The first official day of football practice around the state is next Monday, August 12th.
