Linda L. Walker, 84, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at The Elms, Macomb, IL.

Linda was born on May 23, 1940, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Chester E. and Maude E. (Kissick) Parsons. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.

On October 24, 1959, Linda married Harry W. Walker in Silvis, IL; he preceded her in death on July 18, 2011.

Linda worked as a home health aide at Quality Care for many years before becoming the cafeteria manager at Willits Elementary School. She enjoyed bowling, darts, playing cards, and Yahtzee. She loved spending time with family and friends and shopping. She was known for her love for buying purses and shoes.

Surviving Linda are her children; Rod (Theresa) Walker of Castle Rock, CO, Karen Walker of Burlington, IA, Donald Walker of Wylie, TX, Brenda (Richard) Spencer of Monmouth, and Sandy (Scott Rhinehart) Anders of Roseville, IL; honorary daughters, Janelle K. Walker of Roseville, and Amanda Gregory of Monmouth; grandchildren, Bryan (Kristina), Christopher (Angie), Patrick, Seth (Brandi), Brendon (Caity), Jacob (Morgan), Jordan, Jason (Selena), Jared; great-grandchildren, Shannon, Tessa, Alissa, Alexis, Connyr, Kennady, Blakelyn, Brynleigh, Madison, Dylan, William, Lillyen, Caleb, Rylee, Gracelyn and Goldie; great-great-grandchild, Georgia Grace; siblings, Harold (Judy) Parsons and Fran McCormick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; siblings, Charles Parsons, Norman Parsons, Susie McGann, Raymond Parsons, Carol Mahoney, Evelyn Rodgers, Alice Hollingsworth, Lila Taylor, and Blanche Holmes; in-laws, Jay Walker, Frances Walker, Vivian Edmunds, Peggy Thomas, and Johnnie Edmunds.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Visitation will be prior to service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Elms Nursing Home or Traditions Hospice and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
