Each year, the Illinois Pork Producers Association (IPPA) offers scholarships to students pursuing a higher education degree, at a two or four-year institution, who have an interest in the pork industry. This year the Wilbert and Carol Keppy Memorial Scholarship was affiliated through The IAA Foundation, the recipients were selected based on activity involvement, GPA, and financial need.

IPPA and the IAA Foundation are proud to offer five scholarship awards for the 2025-2026 school year, totaling $10,000. This funding for the scholarships are made possible through the Wilbert & Carol Keppy Foundation. This foundation honors a couple that was instrumental in promoting pork and making a better life for hog farmers in Illinois.

Each of the following recipients will be awarded $2,000 each: Hannah Miller of Livingston County, Maysn Riggins of McDonough County, Paige Sierens of Henry County, Anna Webel of Knox County, and Josephine Webel of Knox County.

“These five scholarship recipients excel in advocating for agriculture, especially within the pork industry,” says Jackie Wible, Director of Community Relations and Content Development for IPPA. “They are a great representation of our association and have bright futures ahead of them.”
