McClain Jo Magee was born at 4:47 in the morning on Sunday August 10th 2025 at the University of Iowa Hospital weighing 1 pound 0.6 ounces and 10 1/4 inches long, at 21 weeks and 3 days to parents Timothy Magee and MaKenna Babcock.
McClain passed away in the arms of her mommy and daddy at 6:41 pm on August 11th 2025 at the University of Iowa NICU, surrounded in love by everyone whose lives she touched.
She was greeted in heaven by her maternal great grandfathers Carl Humphrey and William Babcock. Paternal great-great grandparents Walter and Juanita Avery. Paternal great Aunt Sherry Magee.
She is survived by her parents Timothy Magee and MaKenna Babcock. Maternal grandparents Cory and Crystal Babcock. Paternal grandparents Melissa and Rodney Park, Donnie Magee. Aunts and Uncles Megan (Tyler) Anderson, Kinzley Babcock, Jentry Babcock. Cousin Tanner Anderson. She is also survived by numerous great grandparents, great Aunts and Uncles, and so many others who embraced her short but beautiful life.
The family asks that donations in McClain’s memory be made to the UI Health Care Stead Family Children’s Hospital NICU Gift Fund.
