Kevin Thomas Anderson, 66, of Terre Haute, IL, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.

Kevin Anderson was born on February 12, 1959, in Peoria, IL, the son of Wallace “Wally” and Carolyn (Zipper) Anderson. He was raised and educated in East Peoria, graduating from East Peoria High School in 1977. After high school, Kevin entered the Steamfitters Local 353 apprenticeship program, beginning a long and dedicated career in the trades.

He worked as a journeyman pipefitter for 39 years before retiring in 2016. The following year, Kevin embraced a new adventure, heading to Florida with his RV. He later transitioned to living aboard a boat, exploring the waters from Key West up the Gulf Coast of Florida, accompanied by his beloved life partner, Rebecca.

In 2022, Kevin returned to Illinois to be closer to family, settling in Lomax. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and tinkering with anything he could take apart and rebuild. Kevin’s hands were rarely still, and his skill and craftsmanship were lifelong traits that defined much of who he was.

Surviving Kevin is his life partner, Rebecca Knight of Lomax, IL; his mother, Carolyn Anderson of Washington, IL; his children, Jacy (Ricky) Johnson of Dallas, TX, and Jake (Kelly) Anderson of Minonk, IL. Also surviving is his brother, Kirk (Debi) Anderson of Tremont, IL.

He was preceded in by his father; one daughter, Breyn Anderson; and one sister, Kathy Geber.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family interment of his ashes will be in Glendale Cemetery, Washington, IL. A Gathering of Family & Friends will be at a later date. Memorials can be made to the Kevin Anderson Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
