Each year, 4-H members and alumni across the United States come together to celebrate National 4-H Week, highlighting the impact the program has on youth and communities. This year, National 4-H Week will be celebrated October 5-11. During this week, Shelby Carlson, 4-H Youth Development Educator, shares that there will be an increased presence of 4-H in the community.

“We have so many wonderful community partners who help do things like let us decorate their windows, putting ‘ Happy National 4-H Week on their signs and marquees,” shares Carlson. “We get alumni, 4-H alumni, who you might not realize are people who belong to part of 4-H who are really bragging about their experience, because it is one of the most impactful youth programs your kids can participate in.”

The theme for the 2025 National 4-H week is Beyond Ready, highlighting the organization’s focus on preparing youth for successful careers and futures.
