Mr. Clyde D. “Pud” Norris, Jr. 59, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 4:56 pm at OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
Pud was born September 28, 1966, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Clyde D. and Joyce Eilleene (Riggs) Norris, Sr.
He is survived by his two daughters, Emily (Steven) Lester of Gilson, Illinois and Hayley (Josh Mitchell) Anselmi of Galesburg; his step children, Shandi (Luke) Gustafson of Galva, Illinois and Charles (Virginia) Anselmi of Galesburg; his sister-in-law, Anita Norris of Galesburg; seven grandchildren, Chevy and Miles Lester, Pryde Castellano, K-Leighona McGruder, Luna, Luca, and Lucas Gustafson and several nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Mike Norris and his sister, Vera Mackey.
Pud graduated from Galesburg High School in 1984 and went on to work for Protexall, Inc. until 2008. He had a great love for sports, the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and St. Louis Cardinals. Pud was an extreme NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan, never missing a race.
Visitation is scheduled for 4:00-6:00 pm, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 pm at the chapel with Chaplain Jordan Knight officiating. Memorials may be made to the family to offset funeral costs.
