This January, Miss Warren County Fair Queen Malia Killey will compete for the Illinois State Fair Queen crown. Throughout her reign, Killey has stayed active in community events and youth outreach programs, including her work with the Farm Bureau’s Ag in the Classroom initiative.

“I’ve had the time of my life this year,” shares Killey. “We’ve been so busy. I’ve been able to help with the Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom program this year, which I think is pretty new for Miss Warren County to be helping with. But I’ve had so much fun with it.”

A 2023 Monmouth-Roseville High School graduate, Killey moved to Nashville to earn her cosmetology license and worked there for a year before returning home. She now sells home and auto insurance at her family’s business, Thompson Insurance Agency, while also doing hair and makeup on the side.
