Randall C. Seals, 76, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Christmas, Thursday, December 25, 2025 at his home with his wife by his side, the morning after leading a beautiful candlelight Christmas Eve Service at Sugar Tree Grove Church, where he had been the beloved pastor for the last five years.

He was born on June 8, 1949 in Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of Russell and Virgina (Vaughn) Seals.  He was a student at Monmouth High School when he met Linda Levine, who became the love of his life.  They had their first date sixty-one years ago this month and were married fifty-six years ago this month; Linda survives.

Randy proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, stationed underground in SAC Headquarters in Omaha, NE.  After being honorably discharged, he graduated summa cum laude from Monmouth College with a degree in psychology.

Randy worked for most of his life in the trucking industry, serving as vice president of several trucking companies, including Munson Transportation in Monmouth.  He spent the last twenty years of his career working as a data scientist for McLeod Software, a job that gave him and Linda the opportunity to travel extensively.

He was a voracious reader, loved playing guitar, and was a die-hard Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.  Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his pet dog, Fredo.

Randy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Seals; his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jason & Lori Seals; and his grandchildren, George & Medow Seals, all of Monmouth, IL.  Also surviving is his brother, John & Pam Seals; his sisters, Jeri & Gregg Weigand and Joyce & Pat Roddy of Minnesota; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2025 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Military Honors will be presented at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Sugar Tree Grove Church and can be sent to the funeral home.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
