Beverly A. Yarde, 73, of rural Alexis, died unexpectedly at her home January 7, 2026.

She was born February 11, 1952, in Galesburg, the daughter of Robert E. and Cora A. (Hurley) Kemp Sr. She married John A. Yarde Sr. on November 26, 1972, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2017, after nearly 45 years of marriage.

She is survived by her children, John (Lisa) Yarde Jr. of Bettendorf, Iowa, Jason (Annie) Yarde of Vader, Washington, Kim (Eric) Morton of Hereford, Arizona, and Joshua (and Kat) Yarde of Galesburg; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Russell (Beverly) Kemp of Knoxville; a sister, Rosemary (Jim) Roberts of Henderson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Paul; a stepdaughter, Peggy Humphrey; and nine brothers and sisters.

Beverly had worked at Admiral/Maytag. She then worked in receiving at Bergner’s for many years. Before retirement, Beverly was a stocker at Walmart. She was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School. She enjoyed knitting. Beverly’s greatest love was her farm. To her it was her sanctuary.

In accordance with Beverly’s wishes, she will be cremated. There will be no visitation or service. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services is honored to serve the family. Online condolences and memories may be shared at www.h-p-w.com.
