Nancy A. Cook, 65 of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family.

Nancy was born November 23, 1960 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Robert E. and Nancy Patricia (Arthur) Adams.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1978.

Nancy worked as the Dietary Manager at Seminary Manor in Galesburg for 11 years.  Most recently she was the Dietary Manager at Roseville Rehabilitation Center in Roseville for the last 13 years. She cared deeply about the nutrition of the residents under her care.

She attended the First Christian Church of Monmouth. She enjoyed traveling with her siblings and spending time with her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed fishing, archery and attending concerts. She played the flute in the Monmouth Municipal Band.

Survivors include her children, Elizabeth “Lisa” (Tyler) Howard, Allison Cook, Robert (Jennifer) Cook, Frances (Todd) Mitchell and Colton (Amanda Champion) Conard; 19 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; her life partner, Chris Kidder; her siblings, Rosemary (Roger) Cherry, Lucile (Scott) Brownell and Timothy Adams; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert G. Adams.

Funeral services will be 6:00 pm, Monday, January 5, 2026 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Cremation will take place following the services with a private family interment at Warren County Memorial Park at a later date.  Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to the Nancy A.
