Susanna Marie Wheeler, 83, of Oquawka, died at 1:16 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in Seminary Manor.
She was born October 2, 1942, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Stanley Edwin and Dorean Smith.
She is survived by three children, Ronda Helms of Galesburg, Tammy (Mark) Forshee of Galesburg, and Stan Edward (Carrie) Schisler of Palm Bay, Florida; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Irene. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, and two sisters.
Susanna worked for Maytag for 33 years before retiring. She enjoyed flowers, especially yellow tulips, and her dogs.
Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services of Galesburg. Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Abingdon Cemetery.
