Kevin L. Wardrip, Jr., 39, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 at his home.

He was born on November 25, 1986 in Galveston, TX, the son of Kevin Wardrip Sr. and Ronita (Pulse) & Paul Berg.  Kevin was raised and educated in Davenport, IA. 

Kevin worked for many years with Asplundh Tree Service. He had a true green thumb and took great pride in caring for his garden and plants. Kevin also enjoyed going to the gym and staying active, and he had a creative side, expressing himself through drawing and art. He loved the outdoors and spent many hours fishing and hunting. Kevin was a God-fearing man who read his Bible often and drew strength and guidance from his faith. Above all else, Kevin cherished time with his family, especially his children, who were the center of his world.

Surviving Kevin are his children, Nevaeh Wardrip, Natalia Wardrip, Aaliyah Villarreal, Elijah Wardrip; his mother, Ronita (Paul) Berg of Monmouth, IL; his father, Kevin L. Wardrip, Sr. of Cantril, IA; his grandmothers, Lois Berg, Esther Teel; and his grandfather, Harold Wardrip; his siblings, Joshua (Allaina) Wardrip, Ronesha Wardrip, Levi Wardrip, Keagan Wardrip, Dwight Berg; his significant other, Megan Downey;  several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his aunt, Kimberly Roberts; his uncle, Joe Pulse; his grandmother, Kay Totty; his grandfather, Roger Teel. 

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials can be made to the Kevin Wardrip Memorial Fund for the benefit of his children.
