Linda L. Harmison, 84, of Galesburg, died at 2:09 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at home.

She was born February 18, 1942, in Galesburg, the daughter of Harvey L. and Willie Mabel (Chapman) Heady. She married Gene C. LaFollette in 1958. She later married Kenneth D. Harmison on June 17, 1988, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2022, after more than 34 years of marriage.

She is survived by three sons, Lester (Janet) LaFollette, Crosiar (Karen) LaFollette, and Thomas (Susan) LaFollette; a stepdaughter, Sue (Sam) Chaney; eight grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jerry Heady, Larry Heady, and Judy Knisely.

Linda was raised and educated in Galesburg. She remained active with her graduating class through the years. Linda was a homemaker, had worked at Walmart, and operated a seamstress business Lines Limited by Linda. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge 894. Linda enjoyed bowling, sewing, fishing, gardening, and boating on the Mississippi. She was a former member of the Oquawka Boat Club. Linda was an excellent cook and was known as the “Pie Lady”.

Visitation will be 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Service of Galesburg. Graveside service will follow at noon at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or Elks Lodge 894.
