Charles “Bud” Edward & Donna Jean Turley

Charles “Bud” Edward Turley, 93, of Hamilton, MT, passed away Monday, July 28th, 2025, at his home.

He was born October 20, 1931, in Roseville, Illinois, the son of Lawrence Elswick and Lillian Margaret (Ross) Turley. Charles married Donna Jean Cutliff on June 30th, 1951, and together they just celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary.

He is survived by his wife of Hamilton, their three children; Donna Sims of Colmesneil, Texas, Linda (Carl) Ande of Monmouth, Illinois, and Tamara (Ben) Miner of Kalispell, Montana; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his sister (Margaret Yeakey), two brothers (Raymond and Donald Turley), one son-in-law, and one great-grandson.

He was born and raised in Roseville, Illinois, and graduated from Roseville High School.

Charles served in the Army from 1952 to 1960. He was the co-owner of Turley and Sons Service Station with his brother and father. In 1980, Charles and Donna moved to Hamilton where he went to work for Al’s Car Care.

He was a member of the Roseville Masonic Lodge and was a Past Master. He enjoyed hiking, camping, and 4-wheeling in the mountains with his family and friends.

A memorial service with Military Honors, followed by the Masonic Rites was held Monday, August 18th, 2025, at Daly-Leach Chapel in Hamilton at 1:00 p.m.


Donna Jean Turley of Hamilton, Montana passed away October 1, 2025.

She was born Donna Jean Cutliff on August 18, 1933, twin sister of Dorothy Jewel, the daughter of Ollie and Birdie (Honsman) Cutliff.

She married Charles (Bud) Edward Turley of Roseville, IL on June 30, 1951.

They had three daughters, Donna Marie (Truman) Sims, of Texas who passed away September 7, 2025, Linda (Carl) Ande of Monmouth, IL and Tamara (Ben) Miner of Kalispell, Montana.

Donna worked for Formfit Factory and Glastex Factory before she and Bud moved to Hamilton in 1980, where she sold Avon for many years and Bud worked at Al’s Car Care. They enjoyed many years of adventures, camping and four-wheeling in the Bitterroot mountains and around Montana, having fun and making many happy memories.

Bud passed away July 28, 2025, shortly after celebrating their 74th wedding anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers – Leonard, Ollie, Norman, and Wayne – and seven sisters – June, Freda, Mildred, Opal, Ruth Ann, Dorothy and Patty, and most recently the last sister, Marlene Baldrige, passed away on December 10, 2025.

She is survived by numerous grandchildren (6), great-grandchildren (10), and great-great grandchildren (9). 

Cremation has taken place and no services were held as those were her wishes.
