Third graders in Henderson and Warren County will soon participate in the Third Grade Ag Day activities during the second week of March, shares Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau manager Ashlyn Quinn.

“We’ve got eight stations. We do conservation, soybeans, pork, poultry, corn, beef, drones, and bees. It’s really just an introductory level to those things,” shares Quinn. “The commodity groups talk about products that can be derived from those materials. Conservation has this really cool water-table interactive activity. Our drone guy always brings a drone, and the kids can watch a video and learn how drones are used in crop production. Anna, known as the ‘bee lady,’ is our Ag in the Classroom Coordinator, and she runs the bee station. She has a whole bunch of information to share with the kids.”

The Third Grade Ag Day will take place at the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth.
