It’s banquet season for West Central FFA, and the chapter is getting set to celebrate a year of hard work.
West Central FFA will host their annual banquet on Saturday, March 23 at West Central High School in Biggsville, recognizing all of the achievements from the past year, shares Superintendent Stacey Day.
“It’s a great night. They do a dinner and some networking beforehand, then an opportunity for our FFA kids to get recognized for all the work they’ve done over the last year. It’s really fun to see them get a chance to showcase what they’ve been doing. A lot of that stuff happens outside of the school day, so it’s great for them to kind of have their moment as well, and then they’ll announce their new FFA officers for the following school year that night.”
The banquet will get underway at 5:30.
Day also shared that FFA Advisor Darrell Gittings will be retiring at the end of the school year.
