United Way of West Central Illinois Distributes Nearly $350K to Local Agencies in First Allocation Grant Cycle

Just under $350,000 has been dispersed to local agencies in the first of two rounds of allocation grants through the United Way of West Central Illinois for 2026. Executive Director Jeannie Weber highlights the agencies and organizations receiving funds throughout Henderson, Knox, Mercer, and Warren Counties:

“The BCA, this is going to be paying for a year of their programming in three counties. Camp Big Sky, they are going to have a year worth of programming for four counties. CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, this grant will pay for a year of programming in the four counties. The Family Outreach Community Center in Henderson County, FISH of Galesburg, Gordon Behrents Senior Center in Galesburg, and Eagle View Community Health is going to have a mobile dental unit for four counties,” says Weber.

“We are going to be able to provide senior meals for all four counties between Jamieson Community Center and VNA. All three of the YMCA’s are now falling under our allocations. Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank, Rainbow Riders, we had an application come in from Recharge Teen Center and we are very happy to be able to provide them with funding, Roseville Kids Place, and WIRPC Victim Services,” Weber adds.

Funds will continue to be raised throughout 2026 to support local agencies and organizations through the United Way of West Central Illinois.
