Following the temporary closure of the Warren County Courthouse just a few weeks ago, the Warren County Board is anxiously awaiting the formal engineering report, claims Buildings and Grounds Chairman Sean Cavanaugh:
“We had Hutchinson Engineering go through and document things, took a lot of photographs, and communicated back and forth with a structural engineer that they had working on it. They determined it was safe to reopen. They will be sending us a long report that will state things that may need to be touched up upon,” shares Cavanaugh.
“In 2017, someone though that one of the floors felt lower, so Klingner and Associates come and did some inspections in just one area of the courthouse. They gave us a report, but they deemed the courthouse to be generally structurally sound. So, hopefully the Hutchinson Engineering report will be of the standard of the Klingner and Associates. We want to see what is an issue, what caused it, and how is it to be remedied,” Cavanaugh adds.
Additionally, the courthouse steps are to be completed by May 20th.
