On Wednesday, April 29th, The Kensington, Representative Dan Swanson, and Seminary Village, invite all area seniors and veterans to The Vault in Galesburg for their annual Veteran and Senior Fair. Seminary Village Estates Manager Megan Brown shares the details:
“Last year, I think we had up to 65 different vendors that had all kinds of things for seniors and all kinds of information. This year we are going to have the Lions Bus for vision and hearing screenings again. Something new we are having this year is free haircuts for veterans. We have Lorens Barbershop and BZ’s Chopshop coming to do that for us. We are also holding a canned food drive. Any canned food that comes in is going to be supporting the Knox County Veteran Assistance Commission Pantry. We will have blood pressure screens, medication disposal, and all kinds of information from the different vendors. We will have giveaways and prizes and wonderful food from the Carriage House.”
The Veteran and Senior Fair, which is free to attend, will be held from 9 am to noon at The Vault, 185 South Kellogg Street in Galesburg.
